Walk and Talk Therapy

A natural approach to healing and self-discovery
Walk and talk therapy takes our sessions outdoors, blending evidence-based counselling with the calming, restorative effects of nature. Rather than sitting in a traditional therapy room, we walk side by side in a safe, natural setting while gently exploring whatever is on your mind.

For many people, walking makes it easier to open up. The rhythm of movement and the spaciousness of the outdoors can reduce feelings of pressure or discomfort. Nature often helps us feel more grounded and present, providing a sense of clarity and calm.

Why Walk and Talk?
  • Encourages connection to self and nature
  • Helps reduce anxiety and improve mood
  • Supports emotional regulation through gentle movement
  • Offers a different environment that may feel more comfortable than a seated session

Things to Know:
  • Sessions are held on the Sunshine Coast in mutually agreed outdoor locations (quiet coastal or bush tracks).
  • We walk at a pace that suits you – there is no rush.
  • You don’t need to be “fit” – this is not exercise-focused.
  • Weather-permitting – in the event of heavy rain or extreme heat, we’ll reschedule or move to Telehealth.
  • Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended.

Walk and talk therapy is not suitable for every concern, so if you're unsure, feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if it's a good fit.
